Puddle

In a puddle of emotion

I came upon a river

that flowed like godly nectar

and sang like summer rain

and tripping on the music

I learnt its native language

I sang the words it echoed

and hummed its sweet refrain

"Are you out there?

Can you hear me?

Do you know me?

Do you care?

Come and listen to my music

Come sing the song I'm singing

I'll take you back to Eden

as I'm following you there"

In a fleeting realization

I knew my own reflection

it blossomed like a lotus

and beamed like Sister Moon

and, dancing in the stardust

the angels listened closely

to the puddle of emotion

that I spilt inside my room
