I push my feet hard into the earth
my Green Earth; she loves me and feeds me
I stretch myself toward the clear heavens
where the air caresses and needs me
I am clean and whole and worthy
a perfect presentation
of the flaws that make perfection
throughout all of creation
I bring the water to my parched lips
to taste the sweetness of its presence
to light the fire of my breath
to take root, and claim my essence
